The annual 2022 trainees weekend was held in Leeds, following the ACP biotherapies workshop. This weekend was themed on genomics, targeted therapies and toxicities, and workshops on sequencing therapies for lung and renal cancers. We also held sessions on medical leadership and management and transitioning to becoming a consultant, as well as awarding the annual McElwain and President’s Prizes.

We were pleased to host the event in a face-to-face format, allowing for networking and social opportunities including the annual Saturday night dinner. The ACP weekend is a great opportunity for medial oncology trainees from around the UK to meet and is the only trainee-dedicated event of its kind.
