The Prizes are awarded annually to UK trainees in Medical Oncology who have performed high quality research on either clinical or basic research related to cancer. Applications should consist of:

The prizewinners will be invited to give an oral or poster presentation at the virtual NCRI Festival, taking place from 8th-12th November 2021, with conference registration paid.  The prizewinners will also be asked to present their work at the annual Cancer Physicians in Training weekend in the autumn (currently planned for 15th-17th October in Bristol, or virtual if mandated by COVID restrictions).

ACP medical oncology training survey report 2019

May 2019

The results of a recent survey of trainees in medical oncology have now published. The survey was carried out during Oct/Nov 2019 and addressed some issues of particular importance which are not necessarily covered by the annual GMC survey. The overall response rate to the survey was 32% and it is planned to repeat it in late 2022, following the introduction of anticipated changes to the medical oncology curriculum from 2021, in response to the Shape of Training report.

Please review the findings of the report and consider how the recommendations might be addressed. You are welcome to feed back any queries or comments to [email protected].
